These CPU cooler fan / heat sink units work very well for cooling hot driver or stepper motors. The active movement of air is far more effective than passive heat sink radiation. Fan motors run on 5 to 12 volts. These units are NOT drilled or tapped for the mounting of the drives. You will need to drill and tap for your own mounting hardware. The size is about 2x2x1.5 inches (50x50x40 mm). This provides more than enough surface area for the chips or drive transistors. The driver PCB will be secured separately.
