LABEL + Modifying Volume LabelsAllows you to modify, add, or delete a volume label.

SYNTAX
[d:][path] LABEL [ld:][volumelabel]
OPTIONS
[d:][path] Specifies the drive letter and path that
contain the LABEL command file.
[ld:] Specifies the drive letter of the disk
you wish to label.
[volumelabel] Specifies the label to be used to
identify the disk. The volume label can
contain up to 11 characters.
EXAMPLE
LABEL B:OCTSTMTS
labels the disk in drive B as OCTSTMTS.
MESSAGE
Cannot LABEL a Network drive
You cannot change an existing volume label or create a new one
for a network drive.
NOTE
If you do not specify a label with the command, you will be
prompted for the label or for whether you want the existing label
to be deleted:
Volume in drive x is xxxxxxxxxxx
Volume label (11 characters, ENTER for none)?
