Enables basic storage and retrieval of dates and times.
var newDateObj = new Date() var newDateObj = new Date(year, month, day) var newDateObj = new Date(year, month, day, hours, minutes, seconds) var newDateObj = new Date("month day, year hours:minutes:seconds")
newDateObj.methodName(parameters)
When creating a Date object, the first method above creates a Date object with the current date and time. The second method sets the values of hours, minutes, and seconds to zero. If hours, minutes, or seconds are omitted in the fourth form above, their value is set to zero.
Dates prior to midnight, January 1, 1970 cannot be represented.
The Date object has two static methods that are called without creating a Date object: parse and UTC. Use the following : Date.parse(datestring)
